AMA Nation also known as American Energy Services has launched a home based business opportunity with an emphasis on energy deregulation.  The company is poised to take over the market share and may be an opportunity of a life time!

  • Share/Bookmark

Public Power and America Approved Energy Services (AMA Nation) officially launched a small business opportunity May 15th, 2010 unmatched in the Network Marketing industry creating a home based business that will provide many with financial freedom. Do you remember when Telecommunications deregulated? If you don’t, let me refresh your memory. Once upon a time there was one long distance provider that ruled the world. That company’s name was AT&T. In 1984 telecom deregulated providing the public with more options to save money on their long distance charges which opened the door for MCI who later became MCI Worldcom and Sprint. Although we, the general public now had three companies competing for our business providing competitive long distance rates the government added more deregulation laws which completely broke up the three monopolies 10 years later in 1994. From that point there were hundreds of companies the public could choose from for the most competitive domestic and international long distance rates. This resulted in an enormous transfer of wealth from the major conglomerates to the small businesses that were able to also compete. There were thousands of multi-millionaires made during this time period!
One of those small companies was named Excel Communications which offered the first network marketing opportunity in this space. The premise behind network marketing and direct sales is simply another method of advertising for a company. Instead of spending money on telemarketers, bill boards, television and radio advertising they created a home based business opportunity for the average Joe to get paid for referring a product to their friends, family and co-workers instead. It happened again, an explosion of home based business owners became multi-millionaires by referring their friends and family to do business with them and save on their long distance charges! In fact, Excel Communications beat Microsoft’s fastest growing company record! Microsoft made 1 billion dollars by their tenth year in business. Excel communications went from zero to one billion dollars in revenue in a short six years because they decided word of mouth advertising was a better customer acquisition method than traditional advertising. Haven’t you ever referred a movie or a restaurant to someone? Wouldn’t you like to get paid for that referral? That sums up the network marketing/direct selling business model.
So, I am sure you are wondering what is deregulation. When you think about the telecommunications deregulation trend, you may remember that there were two sides of your bill. There was your primary telephone services provider which provided you with the wiring to your home and telephone as well as the billing. But the long distance provider could be changed at any time for more competitive rates. In energy deregulation it works the same way. You are still being billed by your primary provider and the same reliable service that you are accustomed to calling on if something goes wrong with your power wires or poles etc will always be there for you. But now you have a choice, a choice to choose another supplier.
The strategic partnership of Public Power with America Approved Energy Services also known as AMA Nation will create a similar phenomenon as Excel Communications. In fact, many believe this opportunity will be even greater simply because telecom was an 80 billion dollar industry whereas energy is a 247-400 Billion Dollar industry when you add in both electricity and natural gas. With the current economy, this is a match made in heaven. Peter Jensen aka ‘PJ’ founded a marketing firm for the sole purpose of marketing energy through a network marketing vehicle called America Approved Energy Services. PJ has been a successful network marketer in the industry and has achieved 6 figure per month income levels with his last network marketing company. He is considered to be one of the top 5% income earners in network marketing. With that said, I’m sure you can imagine, his success also came with frustrations. PJ is well aware of the ups and downs of network marketing and why many fail at this type of home based business. With that knowledge he and what I like to call the A Team created a business model unmatched in the industry. For one, the compensation plan is designed for everyone to win. There are six ways of getting paid. A small business consultant with America Approved Energy Services (AMA Nation) will be paid for customer referrals both up front and every time that referred customer pays their bill creating a residual income with a very high retention rate. Why is the retention rate 97% you ask? Because Everyone must pay their bill. Can you imagine getting paid on hundreds or thousands of customers who pay their electric and/or gas bill every month? Wouldn’t that residual give someone the important life changing financial and time freedom they need to enjoy their family or go on more vacations?
When home based business owners refer others to this pportunity and purchase their energy pack, high tech/high touch websites with integrated e-commerce, merchant account and more(virtually a business in a box), they are also compensated for sharing the home business to other families so that they may also have the opportunity to create an extra or primary income stream for their family by simply providing information to consumers about energy deregulation and allowing those customers to have a choice to receive competitive rates and/or rewards from a wonderful strategic partnership with Citi Humana just for being a loyal customer. Additionally, a really good home based business opportunity in the network marketing arena is usually at a cost of $495 or more. Which in my opinion is nothing compared to the cost of a traditional franchise or brick and mortar; although even the initial start up to become a consultant is less than $180!
Public Power’s CEO, Bob Gries is a multi-millionaire with a background in sports and private equity funding. Mr. Gries’ family owned the Cleveland Browns for many years and he himself has owned or had part ownership with several other major sports franchises. Having a financial backer like Bob Gries will allow this company to go straight to the top! In fact, Simion Rice even has a small equity ownership in the company! Their vision is to be in more deregulated states than any other company to attempt coupling Network Marketing with energy deregulation. Currently service can be provided to residents and businesses in NY, PA, CT and MA and the company has plans to also be available in NJ, IL, MD and TX in the near future. Additionally the consultants will be able to help customers in many areas of energy in general! Public Power has created a strategic partnership with proenergy consultants which provides scientific energy conservation inspections to homeowners. This service is available in 27 states. Consultants are also able to offer consumers an entire line of energy conservation products that completely set this company aside from any of its perceived competitiors.
I can go on and on about the perks of this home based business for both the customer and the consultant. But I think you may want to check this one out. I have and was blown away by the founders, the partnerships, the products and so much more! This company has even taken an initiative to help the environment and will plant 12 trees for every customer that they acquire!

Once you have your blog set up, the first thing you want to do is find an autoresponder.  That autoresponder should be able to do two things for you.  The primary purpose of an autoresponder is to capture keep your visitors following you and your blog.  If you are offering affiliate programs or other information as your money maker.  Having a list to sell to is key.  As online entrepreneurs we strive to meet new people, build relationships and offer things of use to our followers/friends.  Your subscribers list is the key to your online business marketing system.  There are many autoresponders to choose from.  The one I use is called traffic wave.  I find it to be a cut above the others due to its functionality and low cost.  Here’s what others have to say about Traffic Wave.

“I currently use TrafficWave.net autoresponders to build a list of Buyers looking for homes and also a Seller’s list looking to sell their homes. We match up Sellers and Buyers. I love automation! In 30 days we have close to 40 Buyers on our list.”

– Steve Kuenkel, Owner
Cincy Investor’s Group

“Zabble Creative uses TrafficWave.net to build and manage contact lists for its local shopping portal, ShopInDothan.com. The very day we installed the subscription form, we began generating subscribers. TrafficWave.net is simple to use and has become a powerful weapon in our marketing strategy.”

– Brett Smith, Owner
Zabble Creative Group

“I began using the TrafficWave auto-responder on the front page of my web site in 2006. The auto-responder sends a free report about using press releases to promote an online business, along with follow-up messages. The auto-responder has freed me from manually responding to the hundreds of requests I receive for information every week.

TrafficWave.net has also helped me to educate and inform my prospects, to help them come to a buying decision before I ever talk to them. This has enabled me to close more sales because my prospects are more highly qualified as a result of the information they receive from the auto-responder from TrafficWave. I can spend more of my time writing, instead of prospecting and selling.”

– David M. Bresnahan, Owner
ThatPRGuy.com

“We use the TrafficWave autoresponder system to send out updates to our newsletter subscribers when new content is added to FBT. We use TrafficWave adtrackers on the different article titles. This helps us determine which content is getting the most interest from our regular readers and guides the addition of future content.”

– Brent Strangel, Owner

Six Thinking Hats

Six Thinking Hats

Looking at a Decision from All Points of View

“Six Thinking Hats” is a powerful technique that helps you look at important decisions from a number of different perspectives. It helps you make better decisions by pushing you to move outside your habitual ways of thinking. As such, it helps you understand the full complexity of a decision, and spot issues and opportunities which you might otherwise not notice.

Many successful people think from a very rational, positive viewpoint, and this is part of the reason that they are successful. Often, though, they may fail to look at problems from emotional, intuitive, creative or negative viewpoints. This can mean that they underestimate resistance to change, don’t make creative leaps, and fail to make essential contingency plans.

Similarly, pessimists may be excessively defensive, and people used to a very logical approach to problem solving may fail to engage their creativity or listen to their intuition.

If you look at a problem using the Six Thinking Hats technique, then you’ll use all of these approaches to develop your best solution. Your decisions and plans will mix ambition, skill in execution, sensitivity, creativity and good contingency planning.

This tool was created by Edward de Bono in his book “6 Thinking Hats”.

How to Use the Tool:

To use Six Thinking Hats to improve the quality of your decision-making, look at the decision “wearing” each of the thinking hats in turn.

Each “Thinking Hat” is a different style of thinking. These are explained below:

  • White Hat:
With this thinking hat, you focus on the data available. Look at the information you have, and see what you can learn from it. Look for gaps in your knowledge, and either try to fill them or take account of them. This is where you analyze past trends, and try to extrapolate from historical data.
  • Red Hat:
Wearing the red hat, you look at the decision using intuition, gut reaction, and emotion. Also try to think how other people will react emotionally, and try to understand the intuitive responses of people who do not fully know your reasoning.
  • Black Hat:
When using black hat thinking, look at things pessimistically, cautiously and defensively. Try to see why ideas and approaches might not work. This is important because it highlights the weak points in a plan or course of action. It allows you to eliminate them, alter your approach, or prepare contingency plans to counter problems that arise.Black Hat thinking helps to make your plans tougher and more resilient. It can also help you to spot fatal flaws and risks before you embark on a course of action. Black Hat thinking is one of the real benefits of this technique, as many successful people get so used to thinking positively that often they cannot see problems in advance, leaving them under-prepared for difficulties.
  • Yellow Hat:
The yellow hat helps you to think positively. It is the optimistic viewpoint that helps you to see all the benefits of the decision and the value in it, and spot the opportunities that arise from it. Yellow Hat thinking helps you to keep going when everything looks gloomy and difficult.
  • Green Hat:
The Green Hat stands for creativity. This is where you can develop creative solutions to a problem. It is a freewheeling way of thinking, in which there is little criticism of ideas. A whole range of creativity tools can help you here.
  • Blue Hat:
The Blue Hat stands for process control. This is the hat worn by people chairing meetings. When running into difficulties because ideas are running dry, they may direct activity into Green Hat thinking. When contingency plans are needed, they will ask for Black Hat thinking, and so on.

You can use Six Thinking Hats in meetings or on your own. In meetings it has the benefit of defusing the disagreements that can happen when people with different thinking styles discuss the same problem.

A similar approach is to look at problems from the point of view of different professionals (e.g. doctors, architects, sales directors) or different customers.

Example:

The directors of a property company are looking at whether they should construct a new office building. The economy is doing well, and the amount of vacant office space is reducing sharply. As part of their decision they decide to use the 6 Thinking Hats technique during a planning meeting.

Looking at the problem with the White Hat, they analyze the data they have. They examine the trend in vacant office space, which shows a sharp reduction. They anticipate that by the time the office block would be completed, that there will be a severe shortage of office space. Current government projections show steady economic growth for at least the construction period.

With Red Hat thinking, some of the directors think the proposed building looks quite ugly. While it would be highly cost-effective, they worry that people would not like to work in it.

When they think with the Black Hat, they worry that government projections may be wrong. The economy may be about to enter a ‘cyclical downturn’, in which case the office building may be empty for a long time.

If the building is not attractive, then companies will choose to work in another better-looking building at the same rent.

With the Yellow Hat, however, if the economy holds up and their projections are correct, the company stands to make a great deal of money.

If they are lucky, maybe they could sell the building before the next downturn, or rent to tenants on long-term leases that will last through any recession.

With Green Hat thinking they consider whether they should change the design to make the building more pleasant. Perhaps they could build prestige offices that people would want to rent in any economic climate. Alternatively, maybe they should invest the money in the short term to buy up property at a low cost when a recession comes.

The Blue Hat has been used by the meeting’s Chair to move between the different thinking styles. He or she may have needed to keep other members of the team from switching styles, or from criticizing other peoples’ points.

Key points:

Six Thinking Hats is a good technique for looking at the effects of a decision from a number of different points of view.

It allows necessary emotion and skepticism to be brought into what would otherwise be purely rational decisions. It opens up the opportunity for creativity within Decision Making. It also helps, for example, persistently pessimistic people to be positive and creative.

Plans developed using the ’6 Thinking Hats’ technique are sounder and more resilient than would otherwise be the case. This technique may also help you to avoid public relations mistakes, and spot good reasons not to follow a course of action, before you have committed to it.

Why incorporate?: Start a Small Business

This article on how to start a small business will help you understand what starting a business is actually all about.  The number 1 reason to start a business and incorporate that business is;  If you are a small business working from home, then, be IN business!  Just because you work from home doesn’t mean you shouldn’t run your business as if it were in a brick & mortar 40 story building in downtown Manhattan!  You must  separate yourself from your small business.  There are several reasons that I can think of to start a business, incorporate yourself and incorporate your business.  Believe it or not, none of my top 5 reasons to incorporte a business have to do with taxes!

Separate you from your company

Why Incorporate Reason 1:  When you are in business, you have business expenses don’t you?  Even if you’re just getting off the ground, if you’re an online business, service or even a network marketing business.  You are paying for things to help that business run such as advertising, autoresponders, your website fees, your business cards the cash you put into to start the business (even if you joined a network marketing company) and whatever else you are spending money on.  You want to start your business off on the right foot for proper growth.  That growth is imperitive to your success and continued growth.

Why Incorporate Reason 2:  You should have your small business pay you a salary.  Now that you are self employed, you are still going to have to show others paystubs.  It is near impossible to get approved for things when you are self employed and don’t pay yourself a salary.  If you want to go apply for an apartment, buy a house, buy a car or anything else you can think of.  If you have to go into the application process with your unorganized bank statements and your unfiled taxes and/or IRS extentions you can pretty much forget about an approval.  Paying yourself a salary is imperative to you the person.  Even if you’re only paying yourself, and its as little as $300 per week it’s a necessary evil to separate you the individual from your small business.

Why Incorporate Reason 3: When starting up a business, you want your clients to be able to look you up at a valid business address.  Even if it is a PO Box or my favorite, a virtual office you want a place that your clients and creditors can correspond with you at separate from your home address.  If only for the primary purpose of keeping your home private from the public, separating your business from your personal address is a very smart move.  The most important reason is to once again separate YOU from your business.  Did you know that your credit profile is based on your address?  I’ll give you an example let’s say your name is Michael Smith.  Do you think there are more than one Michael Smiths out there?  Have you ever applied for something and they only need your name, address and last 4 of your social?  The name and ADDRESS are the distinguishing characteristics to help the system know who YOU are.  So, would you want your business credit profile mixed with your personal credit profile? Absolutely not!

Why Incorporate Reason 4:  Many of us use our personal cell phone numbers these days.  But I advise you to separate your business telephone number from your home telephone number.  Here’s a few real life reasons why you will want to incorprate your business or start and LLC… Your Facebook profile can include a phone number, your blog can include a phone number, you may also want your business creditors to have a separate telephone number.  So, when you are finished working you can literally be finished.  No more calls its family time :-)

Why Incorporate Reason 5:  Building Business Credit- of course, did you know you can get your office products, printers, fax machines (if you still use those things), business cards, promotional items and much much more the day after you file your business entity (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp etc). So, when you are starting a small business you will want to be sure to start your business the right way from the start.  Tene Williams, Your Achievers Only! Business Coaching Guru has been self employed for 17 years and has experienced the trial and error of starting a business both the wrong way and thr right way.  If you want the success you are striving for, do it the right way from the start.  If you do, your success will come much quicker.  Don’t forget to check the out the Small Business Finance Hotline where I share all of the vendors, business lines of credit, banks and suppliers that are lending to small business owners like you in today’s market.

Knowledge Is Indeed Power

Knowledge Is Indeed Power

By: Mark Ray

The global financial crisis and the growth of competition among businesses have forced establishments to tighten up their budget. These circumstances made companies reduce their investments for business enhancement technology. However, it is very necessary for these companies and firms to realize that the global downturn is a great time for them to invest in technology that would help them overcome the recession and eventually lead to company growth in the future. All businesses are dependent on information and data. Thus, business intelligence software solutions were created in order to help the organization access all necessary data for the company. The main role of this software is to provide and collect all needed data and information that are relevant for the organization’s function and growth and make it available for the company in the future when it is required. This kind of easy access and quickness to acquire information and data is very essential to the process of decision making of the company. Also, with this technology, the company will grow and stay afloat. Once a quick gathering of data and information happens, the company can run analysis, do reports and make possible predictions based on the past performance. Some business intelligence software integrates external information such as the unemployment rate of a certain region or the prices of gas in order for the company to understand the swings or economic trends and how the customer’s behavior affects them. These applications would help bring together data from disparate parts of the company. You can configure the applications yourself or hire business intelligence consultants to do that for you. In choosing the right ERP software, identify first the specific needs of your company. Once those needs are established, you can use that information to serve as a benchmark in choosing the ERP vendors who can cater to your needs. Some tools that are used for business intelligence software solutions are spreadsheets, reporting and querying software, tools that extract, sort, summarize, and present selected data, OLAP or commonly known as online analytical processing, digital dashboards, business performance management and local information systems. Except for spreadsheet, these groups of tools are considered as standalone tools, suites of tools or ERP systems.

Now that you have a list of goals, you need to take a look at which social media is meeting your goals. Choose out of Flickr, podcast, YouTube, blogs, or any other site your using. Give the ones that are bring traffic to you all of your attention and put the others on hold. This gives you more time to focus on the ones that are working for you. And move away from the ones that may be distracting you from your goals.

You can determine which ones are working for you by viewing  your site’s analytic. Watching your site traffic you can see where the traffic is coming from. You can see where the best traffic is coming from…..the people buying from you.
